ASHP Design
The historic Tower 42 on Old Broad Street is regarded as the first high-rise building in The City of London. We were privilieged to be part of the design team which retrofitted T42 with an Air Source Heat Pump to reduce the building's dependency on natural gas an stay ahead of London's Net Zero Carbon timelines. Key tasks included: analysing the avilable plantroom space, ensuring interfaces with secondary systems could be coordinated and that the performance of the new ASHP would achieve the demands on the building.
The project comprised a high workload in the validation and inspection of the existing plant. To keep disruption to a minimum the installation and sshutdown work was scheduled around black-building test dates and bank holidays.
Key Deliverables:
- Dimensioned Survey
- Plant validations
- Operations coordination
- Manufacturer Liaison
- Contractor Management
